Darrell "Marine the barber" Sanders is a Master barber who hails from the West side of Savannah, Ga. As the name suggests, Marine is a prior service combat veteran who served 8 years in the Marine Corps. Previously a customer of Kunrad, Marine was inspired to become a barber after experiencing the culture and atmosphere of Royalty Cutz barbershop. Marine attended barber school at Savannah Technical College under the tutelage of the great Terrance "Mr. T" James. As a barbering student of Savannah Tech, he achieved a 3.7gpa and was inducted into the National Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. He was named student of the year when he became Savannah Technical College's Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership of 2023 winner. He went on to win regionals and was a state G.O.A.L finalist.
